Coagulation defects are largely responsible for the disproportional mortality caused by hemorrhage.  Tranexamic acid (TXA) and massive transfusion protocols are useful tools to combat bleeding in injured patients. This trauma internal education module focuses on coagulopathy, massive transfusion, and the use of TXA in injured pediatric patients.
