Tongue tie, also known as ankyloglossia, is a common condition affecting as many as 10% or more of newborns.  In addition to tongue tie, lip and buccal ties have recently become a common cause for concern among parents and other health care professionals.  This presentation will discuss the classification of oral ties.  In addition, this presentation will review current research on oral ties as well as evidence-based indications and recommendations for their treatment.
