Target Audience

School nurses and school health professionals caring for pediatric patients and their families. 

Learning Objectives

1) Recall the differences between Type 1 diabetes, Type 2 diabetes and MODY

2) Examine insulin and medication management principles for in school administration

3) Demonstrate knowledge regarding components and expectations at school for diabetes technology use: pumps and sensors

4) Apply age-based independence guidelines for diabetes management at school

5) Develop strategies for rolling with resistance when students do not want to engage in cares within the health office
