Diabetes Education at Children’s Minnesota

Objectives:

  • Recognize presentation symptoms of Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.
  • Describe the mechanism of the honeymoon phase.
  • Identify the steps for acceptance of diabetes diagnosis.
  • Explain the developmental expectations of diabetes cares at school.
  • Discuss the diabetes cares at school as outlined on the diabetes school form.

Requests for presentations

We are best able to accommodate requests with lead time of one month or more. If desired, Children’s Minnesota will request continuing-education credits for presentations. While approval is likely, it’s not guaranteed.
