This is the fourth of five sessions in the education series on family-centered approaches specific to the rehabilitation team. This series consists of family centered care components, incorporating education on motivational interviewing, outcome measures, goal setting, and episodic care.
Target Audience
Physical therapists, Occupational therapists, and Speech language pathologists
Learning Objectives
- Describe the purpose and importance of outcome measurement in pediatric rehabilitation.
- Demonstrate how to use the PEDI-CAT in pediatric rehabilitation to assess and monitor a child’s functional abilities.
- Interpret PEDI-CAT scores.
- Integrate data from the PEDI-CAT to inform treatment planning, family-centered care, and to track progress over time.
