Jill Davis Critical Care Conference Series: Big World of Little Hearts

Please join us for one or both sessions of this year's Jill Davis Nursing conference!

Thanks to medical advancements, infants with congenital heart defects are living longer. Therefore, our care for them is evolving from a focus on survival to a focus on quality of life. Nurses, doctors, therapists, families, and other specialties are joining together to discuss how we can enhance what we do inside the hospital to improve patients' lives outside in the real world.

Please join us for The Big World of Little Hearts, our 40th episode of the Jill Davis Conference. The first session will be in person (subject to change) and the second session will be virtual. All are welcome to attend one or both sessions. We look forward to learning with you!

Session 1 - April 12th, 2022, 10:00am-2:30pm (in-person)

What changes occur to the heart's blood flow after birth? What is it like to be a newborn in a hospital and how can we help with neurodevelopment? What do families want us to know about how we care for their babies? Join us on April 12th to find out! The current plan is to meet in person; if this changes we will notify attendees as soon as possible. Lunch will be provided.

Session 2 - April 26th, 2022, 10:00am-2:00pm (virtual)

We are so excited to hear from a wide range of experts at our second session of the Jill Davis Conference. Dr. MacIver will talk about surgical decisions. Simaan Nuraali will address equity and inclusion considerations in the neonatal world. Chris Lillehei, the CVICU chaplain, will discuss infant loss. Log on for our virtual Jill Davis session to hear these presenters and more.
