Children's Minnesota hosts this 0.75-hour acute care multidisciplinary simulation - Bronchiolitis in collaboration with PICU.

Target Audience

Children's Minnesota nurses, respiratory therapists and hospitalists.

Learning Objectives

  • Review evidence-based best practices for care of acute viral bronchiolitis
  • Recognize escalation steps as described in the Children's Bronchiolitis guideline for clinical deterioration
  • Review and practice techniques for effective BVM ventilation and intubation
  • Recognize appropriate escalation of care via RRT and Code Blue
  • Use close-loop communication to care for a decompensating patient with a multidisciplinary team
