For this trauma education module Children’s Minnesota Emergency Medicine physician Dr. Rosina Hussain has selected 4 articles. Coagulation defects are largely responsible for the disproportional mortality caused by hemorrhage.  Tranexamic acid (TXA) and massive transfusion protocols are useful tools to combat bleeding in injured patients.
