L070226 Cardiology Case Conference Series

July 2, 2026

This weekly case conference is a best practice for standard of care, in accordance with American College of Cardiology (ACC) and American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines emphasizing the centralization of cross-center expert consensus for rare congenital lesions. This series provides a centralized, collaborative forum to leverage combined multi-institutional volume, synthesis of conflicting surgical literature, and systematically review of data to prevent rare surgical complications.

Target Audience

Physicians, specifically cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and intensivists

Learning Objectives

  •  Formulate optimal, evidence-based surgical and medical management plans for complex, low-frequency congenital heart anomalies by synthesizing input from cross-institutional expert panels.
  • Appraise contemporary, peer-reviewed literature (when applicable) and multi-center registry outcomes (e.g., STS Congenital Heart Surgery Database) to resolve conflicting strategies in high-risk pre-operative planning.
