Tick-Talk: Recognizing and Managing Tick-borne Diseases in Kids

Objectives:
- Identify the most prevalent tick-borne illnesses, including Lyme disease, ehrlichiosis, anaplasmosis, babesiosis, and Rocky Mountain spotted fever.
- Describe the typical signs and symptoms of major tick-borne diseases in pediatric patients, including variations in early and late-stage manifestations.
- Review appropriate laboratory tests, imaging studies, and clinical criteria for diagnosing tick-borne illnesses in children.
- Summarize current guidelines for the management and treatment of pediatric tick-borne diseases, including antibiotic selection and duration.
