Learning Objectives

  • Obtain an overview of the heterogeneity of eating disorder diagnoses, including common symptoms, behaviors, and prevalence amongst different pediatric populations.   
  • Learn about the main evidence-based psychological/physiological screening tools and treatments for eating disorders. 
  • Identify the evidence-based nutrition interventions that are aligned with neutralizing diet culture and weight stigma.  
  • Describe the best practices when working/engaging with patients and their families who are dealing with an eating disorder.
