Join us for the Ethics Committee Retreat on November 12, 2026, for a day of learning, discussion, and reflection focused on ethical decision-making in healthcare. This engaging retreat will feature presentations on federal policy updates, the intersection of risk, ethics, and social work, real-world case discussions, and an interactive perspective-taking activity designed to explore diverse viewpoints and strengthen ethical reasoning. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn about PACP and the empath unit, connect with colleagues across disciplines, and reflect on key takeaways to support ethical practice in their work.

  • Committee will split into groups, and take a stance on the cases presented before lunch. Groups will be asked to present their results. Groups will need to shift their perspective/stance on the second case

Parking at the CBC.

  • All employees should utilize the parking ramp at the bottom of the hill when they arrive. Parking up top is reserved for visitors but often fills up fast on certain days. We try to keep that area open for visiting Foundation donors and visitors/employees needing special accommodation due to physical limitations or injury.
  • Enter through the lower level EMPLOYEE entrance across from the parking ramp.  For visitors who do not have badge access, pick up the phone just inside the doors and let security know you are there for the retreat.
