L2025 Safety Learning Reports (SLRs) and System-to-Share (S2S): Leader Standard Work for Improving Clinical Quality and Patient Safety

This course introduces the foundations of safety science and continuous improvement needed for both new and experienced leaders to engage in patient safety and performance efforts at Children’s Minnesota. It will include technical processes within the software system (RL platform) that is used to capture safety learning reports and follow-up documentation as well as provide time for leaders to ask specific questions.  

This course is required for supervisor level leaders & higher, medical directors, educators, business managers, etc. within 6 months of hire/new position.

Target Audience

This course is applicable to any leaders who have administrative access to safety learning reports and/ or follow up on system-to-share (S2S) submissions which may include, but are not limited to, supervisor level leaders & higher, medical directors, educators, business managers, etc.

  • Describe how safety learning reports (SLRs) and system to share (S2S) / continuous improvement supports a robust safety culture
  • Illustrate the principles that contribute to psychological safety when responding and following up on SLR submissions
  • Describe leader standard work within the RL platform
  • Demonstrate RL platform functionality and documentation on SLRs

Pharmacists and Pharmacy Techs will have their attendance reported in the CPE Monitor for ACPE credits provided they have entered their NABP-ePID and birth month and day where indicated when setting up their profile.
