L091825 7th Annual Twin Cities Pediatric Update: Virtual Option
We invite you to attend this hybrid educational experience on September 18-19, 2025, hosted by Children’s Minnesota, the University of Minnesota Department of Pediatrics, and the Minnesota Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (MNAAP).
This year’s conference is moving to the south Metro and will be held at Brackett's Crossing Country Club in Lakeville, Minnesota. Attendees will select during the registration process if they would like to attend in-person OR virtually.
We will feature two keynote speakers and a variety of plenary sessions to keep you current on relevant topics and recent advances in pediatrics that are most important to your practice.
WE WILL NOT be recording presentations for viewing post-course. Completion of the evaluation is required to claim course credit.
Presentation resources will be shared provided the speaker(s) grant(s) permission to do so.

The Minnesota Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics is excited to host its annual meeting in person again this fall. We are looking forward to a relaxed evening of celebration and hope you can join us on Thursday, September 18 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the lower level of Brackett's Crossing.
Chapter leadership will hold a brief formal program at 6 p.m. to look back at the chapter's activities and honor the annual award recipients. Add this event to your cart at registration!
The MNAAP annual meeting will take place on the evening of the Twin Cities Pediatrics Update conference, but you do not need to attend the conference to attend the annual meeting.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER INFORMATION:
Garth Graham, MD
A cardiologist, researcher and public health expert, Garth Graham joined Google as Head of Healthcare and Public Health. He previously served in two US administrations as US Deputy Assistant Secretary for Health and was Assistant Dean for Health Policy and Chief of Health Services Research in the department of medicine at the University of Florida School of Medicine. He also served as President of the Aetna Foundation as well as Vice President & Chief Community Health Officer at CVS Health. He currently sits on several boards, including the Advisory Council to the Director of the NIH, the Institute of Medicine Board on Population Health, and the board of the National Quality Forum.
An elected member of the National Academy of Medicine, Garth obtained his MD at Yale University School of Medicine, MPH at Yale School of Public Health, Internal Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and Cardiology fellowship at Johns Hopkins. He holds three board certifications including internal medicine, cardiology and interventional cardiology. He also holds an honorary doctorate of laws from Regis College and an honorary doctorate from Eastern Virginia Medical School. In 2021, the Satcher Health Leadership Institute at Morehouse School of Medicine inaugurated the Garth N. Graham Distinguished Lectureship Award, which spotlights trail blazers who are leading the creation and advancement of health equity.
Yohuru Williams, PhD
Dr. Yohuru Williams is the Distinguished University Chair and Professor of History and Founding Director of the Racial Justice Initiative at the University of St. Thomas. He received his PhD from Howard University in 1998. Dr. Williams is the author, co-author, and editor of eleven books, including Call Him Jack: The Story of Jackie Robinson, Black Freedom Fighter and More Than a Dream: The Radical March on Washington for Jobs & Freedom, which was longlisted for the National Book Award in Young People's Literature. His new book, King: A Life, adapted for young readers, was released in January.
Dr. Williams has appeared on a variety of local and national television and radio programs, including the History Channel, CNN, Fox Business News, NPR, BET, and ABC. His scholarly articles have been published in the American Bar Association's Insights on Law and Society and the Journal of Civil and Human Rights.
