2026 Inclusive Leadership Certification Program - Cohort A

This program is designed to equip leaders with the skills and knowledge necessary to foster an inclusive environment. Through a series of seven 90-minute sessions, participants will explore various aspects of inclusive leadership, enabling participants to lead with empathy, effectiveness, cultural intelligence and a deep understanding of diverse experiences and perspectives. By empowering leaders to champion inclusivity, the program aims to improve interactions, communication and staff retention, ultimately enhancing patient care and staff well-being.

This program consists of 7 modules. You are required to complete 6 modules in order to receive the certification.

 

Target Audience

Children's Minnesota clinicians, nurses, social workers and rehab staff on the Cardiovascular Unit.

Learning Objectives

  • Explain fundamental principles of inclusive, equitable leadership and apply these principles, resulting in stronger inclusive leader identity and greater self- and other-awareness
  • Develop skills and competencies to inclusively and equitably manage others, processes and systems in a diverse world
  • Develop as a leader, and in doing so gain a clearer understanding of and stronger commitment to personal values regarding equity and Inclusion in organizations, hone skills in working with and advising others as a member of diverse teams, and develop an interest in and the habits and skills for lifelong, continuous learning as an inclusive leader
