L111522 Trauma Informed Care in the NICU Workshop - Nov. 15 St. Paul 1-3 pm
The goal of this course is to provide an opportunity to practice trauma informed care communication techniques and explore the trauma in lactation promotion in the NICU. The course is 2 hours long, including 20 minutes of pre-learning content. During the course, we will have actors embedded into the simulations, to allow for realistic practice of trauma informed care communication strategies.
All attendees will wear a mask during the session and follow COVID-19 Guidelines for Simulation.

This session is designed specifically for Children's Minnesota Professional Staff.
Learning Objectives
- Describe the role of trauma in the NICU.

- Examine personal bias surrounding lactation in the NICU.
- Demonstrate strategies for providing trauma-informed lactation promotion in the NICU through simulation scenarios.
